yes to carrots shampoo and conditioner

so like my other post about the makeup remover cleanser this shampoo and conditioner is also super hydrating. my hair has also felt more dry than usual and this has seemed to help greatly. everything i have tried from the "yes to" line i've tried so far has been good, and they are an affordable, pretty natural line.

yes to carrots eye and make up remover

wow! it's been so long since i last blogged. a lot has happened and one of the things is that i'm expecting a baby boy in the spring, that being said my skin has been very, very dry! so finding this cleanser has really helped me out a lot! it's super duper hydrating and leaves your skin feeling so soft. i would say any skin type could use this it definitely doesn't leave a film on the skin, and is worth trying for the low cost of about $10. :)

Beta-Ginseng Whipped Creme Cleanser by Earth Science

this is probably one of the best anti-aging, hydrating, inexpensive natural cleansers i have found! the consistency is kind of strange to get used to, it's thick but lathers up kind of creamy and foamy the more water you add to it.
comforting sweet almond and macadamia-nut oils, plus revolutionary anti-oxidant micellized beta-carotene unite to create luxurious velvet lather. decadently soft, it feels like washing your face with freshly-whipped cream!
its powerful anti-oxidants and firming Ginseng instantly absorb to combat signs of aging. great for the most sensitive of skin.
i find it's great for removing make up and not feeling like the skin is tight or dry. your skin will feel super fresh and hydrated! this is one of my favorites.

easy home tip: adding white sugar to your cleanser

an easy home made exfoliant is to use any white sugar, organic or not, to your current creamy or foamy cleanser. you only need less than teaspoon each time and i like to keep a container of it in the bathroom. sugar not only is a gentle exfoliation, it is also a natural humectant for the skin, so it will help to keep your skin hydrated and bring moisture to your skin.

for a body scrub you can also use sugar, but salt gives a little heavier scrub that's sometimes needed more.

i have used the sugar with my facial cleanser as often as every other day and my skin has felt great. it's nice to know that there is a good use to white sugar, other than making things sweet!

eminence yam and pumpkin enzyme peel and chamomile toner

this is one of my favorite at home peels. it really nourishes your skin as it removes any built up layers. it's great for softening, evening and brightening the skin.

i like to use it in the shower to work the steam in a little, a little goes a long way. it's best to follow it with the eminence chamomile toner to help remove the peel and sooth your skin. sometimes when i am running late though i will just wash it off with my creamy vitamin c cleanser and that seems to work too. i try to use it about once a week or so.

living boldly...

"Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now."~Goethe

there is no time like the present, life is a short gift we all get to experience. if you can dream something, envision it you can create and achieve it.

yes to cucumbers-natural glow-facial towelettes

i picked these up at whole foods thinking it would be great for on-the-go cleansing and they are pretty good. i am not totally impressed because they are not so great at removing mineral makeup which i wear almost daily. it says "gentle cleansing and makeup removal", but i would say it's not for heavier makeup removal. i have used them after a sweaty yoga class and my skin felt great! so i would always keep something like this in my car, or gym bag, probably pretty good to travel with too. nice to have cleansing all in one step when you don't have much time!
